Colin Cutz & Landscaping, founded in 2024, is a local lawn care company built on the principles of doing good work, being reliable, and treating people right. After running the business for about a year and a half relying on Facebook ads, Nextdoor, door hangers, and yard signs, the owner, Colin Pritt, was ready to scale.
The primary goal was to generate a consistent flow of inbound leads to support a second crew and acquire another truck and trailer. To achieve this, the company needed a digital foundation. They required their first official website, a fully optimized Google Business Profile, and a targeted advertising strategy with a budget of $1,000 to $2,000 per month.
The Vision: “Trust in Professionalism”
During our initial onboarding and design meetings, we defined a clear vision for the digital brand. The target audience was primarily middle-aged homeowners in the Concord area who needed reliable, “get it done now” lawn care services.
- Design Aesthetic: The client requested a “Trust in Professionalism” style. This meant clean, minimalist designs incorporating the company’s green logo, high-quality scenic imagery, and a well-organized layout.
- User Experience (UX): To cater to the target demographic, we focused on accessibility by using smooth, rounded corners and reducing unnecessary on-screen movement.
- Conversion Goal: The website had one primary objective: generate phone call leads, with simple contact form submissions as a secondary goal.
Our Execution & Strategy
1. Website Design & Development We built a comprehensive, 10 to 15-page website designed to establish local authority. We structured the site to highlight their main “foot in the door” service (mowing), alongside crucial up-sells like fertilization plans and seasonal cleanups. We also built dedicated pages for higher-ticket services like Land Clearing, Junk Removal, and Commercial Landscape Management. Every service section included dedicated “Get a Quote” buttons to keep the user from having to scroll back to the top.
2. Strategic Copywriting & Brand Voice We crafted the website copy to emphasize the company’s unique selling points: reliability, keeping clients on schedule, and fair pricing. We avoided heavy industry jargon and wrote in a direct, honest tone. A major focus of the copy was promoting their Yearly Contracts, educating users on the benefits of breaking down annual lawn care costs into predictable monthly payments.
3. Local SEO & Google Business Profile Setup To capture local search traffic, we set up and optimized the client’s Google Business Profile using their physical address to build local authority.
- We defined a strict service area of a 10 to 15-mile radius (roughly 20 minutes) around Concord, NC, to ensure crew efficiency.
- We mapped out all services to specific Google categories and implemented a review-generation strategy involving QR codes for clients to scan after jobs were completed.

4. Google Ads & Targeted Landing Pages

- We collaborated with the client to develop an irresistible “Attraction Offer” (Bi-Weekly Lawn Maintenance starting at $100/month) paired with strong bonuses like free weed killer and photo proof of locked gates.
- We highlighted a bold risk-reversal guarantee: if the client was not satisfied after the first month, Colin Cutz would pay for their next mow with a competitor.
